Activities

Return to summer camp at the Harpers Ferry/Civil War Battefields KOA! Remember when vacations meant spending time outdoors in the sunshine, often with the entire family, enjoying all the great things that nature and summer have to offer. Well, at the Harpers Ferry/Civil War Battlefields KOA we're bringing back good old-fashioned summertime fun.

A resort fee* of only $5 per night per site allows everyone in your group to enjoy many of these campground amenities:

Here's a list of our most popular activities:

Swimming

Family summer fun begins with a splash in our heated Olympic-size pool. Find a spot on the deck in the sun or in the shade under an umbrella while you catch your breath. The wading pool for the smaller set is located nearby.

Pile O' Sand

It's like a day at the beach! Bring your pail and shovel for some good old fashion fun making sand castles and playing king of the hill.

Basketball and Volleyball

Weather won't keep you from challenging your friends and family to a game! Choose from our indoor or outdoor basketball court, or have fun on our sand volleyball court.

Jumping Pillow

A cross between a trampoline and a bounce castle, the jumping pillow offers a new experience for all ages. With a new shade cover, the family can spend hours going airborne!

Giant chess/checkers set

Checkmate with pieces that are 2 Ω ft. tall or move checker pieces that are over a foot in diameter to win

18 Hole Mini Golf

Challenge your kids to a round of 'putt putt.' Our new mini golf course is the ideal activity for some light competition in the sun.

Movies

Enjoy a family movie in our renovated 100-seat theater. The popcorn is freshly popped!

Horseshoes

Challenge each other to some 1-on-1 competition or pairs as you attempt to toss horseshoes around a stake 10 feet ahead.

Bike Rentals**

Traditional single and double bicycles are always a favorite or try one of the popular fun cycles.

Cannon shooting

Are you up to shooting our cannon? Register when you arrive during any of our summer and fall theme weekends and you may be selected to fire our cannon. Every Saturday from Memorial Day through Halloween we fire our cannon twice at 5:00 PM. After you shoot the cannon you have your photo taken and receive a one of a kind gift to take home and display on your desk to brag!
